CGE Network Event 2018
“Making risk understandable”
Save the date: 27 & 28 September 2018
In 2018 we will be organizing the 4th edition of our biennial ‘Barrier Based Risk Management Network Event’. The theme for this edition will be: “Making risk understandable”.
Engaging speakers address different perspectives to broaden views on the subject. During this event ideas, insights, best practices and experiences will be shared with thought leaders, subject matter experts, regulators, knowledge institutions and your peers.
The Network Event is meant for a diversified audience of QHSE, business, finance, legal and compliance professionals as well as regulators and knowledge institutions – active in a range of industries, from Oil & Gas to Finance.
Keynote speaker: Dr. André Kuipers – Astronaut & Ambassador of Earth
In space you can find an outstanding multinational: the International Space Station (ISS). Realised by the United States of America, Europe, Russia, Canada and Japan.
André was given the great privilege to work in the ISS twice and be a part of this international enterprise. The ISS is the largest, most complex, international technological structure ever made by mankind. Working on groundbreaking technology which can exist in an extraterrestrial environment enables us to come to scientific insights about our place in the universe, the ISS gathers enormous amounts of information about our own Earth and the life our planet sustains. In space technology is everywhere: when it comes to medical issues, communications, transport, energy and even when it comes to exercising!
We have started composing a program for the upcoming edition. We expect to finalize the program at the end of Q1 2018. The set-up and the program will be similar to the previously held Network Events.
The Network Event is a 2-day conference, that consists of different parts that you can choose from:
- On day 1 please join us for the Network Event itself, with plenary sessions in the morning, workshops in the afternoon, an exhibition all day and drinks at the end of the program.
- In the evening of day 1 we will organize a Joint Industries Program Members Dinner at Cafe-Restaurant Dauphine.
- In the morning of day 2 you have the choice of attending the Global User Group Meeting
- Or visiting the Global Partner Conference taking place at the same time
- To close the conference, you are invited to a Social Activity for the entire afternoon, day 2

In the week of the Network Event we will be organizing training courses at our Innovation Center at our head office in Leidschendam. Next, you can schedule meetings with us and/or choose to meet us at the IADC Conference in Amsterdam on 25 & 26 September.
The set-up of the upcoming Network Event will be similar to the previous editions.
In 2016 we had 5 sponsors, 17 exhibitors, 20 knowledge partners, 24 speakers and we welcomed about 300 attendees from 44 different countries.
