The “Veiligheidsregio Rotterdam Rijnmond” started using the BowTieXP software to do advanced Object Risk Analysis for the major assets they are responsable for. The “Veiligheidsregio Rotterdam Rijnmond” is responsible for fire protection of the entire harbour of Rotterdam and the Botlek area. This area is the largest industrial area in the Netherlands with many high risk companies.

“In the past when we had a fire we started with fire fighting without a proper risk assessment, putting our crew in danger. Now using BowTieXP we can do a proactive risk analysis of an object. In case of an emergency we can take that risk analysis and point our crew at potential hazards they may face during the fire fighting” says Fred van Hengst from the department “Arbeidsveiligheid”.

“For our internal risk assessments (RI&E) we have just started using the CAT (Changer Audit Tool). This allows us to easily deploy an audit questionnaire across the organization. The CAT-tool gives us the insight to do internal improvements and follow up on actions.”
