The Safety and Accident Investigation Centre is a specialist group within the School of Engineering dedicated to high-quality teaching, research and consultancy in transportation safety management and incident / accident investigation. Our clients include government investigation agencies and regulators, manufacturer, operators, maintainers, service providers and the military. In 2011, Cranfield was awarded a Queen' Anniversary Prize for its contribution to aviation safety through research and training in air accident investigation - the highest honour that can be given to a UK University.
